Ballerina was done in Winston-Salem NC in the early 1990s. I met a ballerina at North Carolina Scool of the Arts that was interested in my artwork. I borrowed a camera from guitarist Ricardo Cobo and took some pics of her. She was really flexible and I got several good shots one of which I used to paint Ballerina.
