Pleasant Pear Whelk

Pleasant Pear Whelk,
Fulguropsis amoena (Conrad, 1875)
Extinct fossil species,
(IDed and named H. Lee, 2021

This extinct pear whelk has been found six times on S. Hutchinson Island beaches. After a brief exploratory search of its origin by Harry Lee and Roger Clark of the Jacksonville Shell Club, it has been found to be similar to other extinct species but no match has been found. Therefore Harry has named it Pleasant Pear Whelk so it could be added to my site.
